Study on the Landscape Pattern and Optimization Strategies of Shengzhong Reservoir in Nanbu County

With the software of landscape pattern analysis Fragstats3.3, the landscape pattern of the area of Shengzhong Reservoir in Nanbu county was analyzed and evaluated in two aspects of patches-level index and landscape-level index. According to the landscape resources status, characteristics and the need of social and economical development of reservoir area, the strategies for optimization of landscape pattern were suggested and the landscape patterns were optimized. The results of the research and the suggestion will be helpful for he environmental protection and eco-tourism development of the area. The main conclusions are as follows:1. The SPOT5 remote sensing image in 2004 (resolution of 5m×5m) and the topographic maps of Nanbu city(scale 1:10000, Painted in 1977, published in 1978) and the land use maps of Nanbu city (scale 1:10000 ,painted in 1988, published in 1994,) was used data source, the use of Maximum Likelihood Classifier for supervised classification and accuracy assessment of classification results obtained the overall classification accuracy of 90.7031%, Kappa index for the 0.8928, get the landscape map of Shengzhong Reservoir in Nanbu city after post-processing.2. Under the updated ArcGIS vector data converted to raster GRID format data, then imported to Fragstats3.3 and calculated the landscape pattern indices from the class-level index and landscape-level index, come to the following conclusions by analyzing:The relations of A variety of landscape types of the area: mixed conifer> paddy field> coniferous forest> dry land> water> road> residents. The characterize of landscape type in study area is: conifer mixed forest, coniferous forest, dry land, paddy fields and water to formed the main landscape types of the area. Forest landscape is the landscape matrix of the study area. However, because the proportion of its area is only 49.08 percent, less than the area to meet the matrix that is required to achieve the total area of the region 1/2~2/3, and the connectivity is not strong enough, the study of the dominant region is not prominent, there is room for development. The river corridor is Shengzhong reservoirs and fish ponds of the study area; road corridor is the road of linking the township, but compared with of the road corridor of plain area is also less and narrow. From the overall landscape level, the landscape types is rich and a higher degree of the landscape diversity of the study area, but because of a relatively large number of patches of the region, resulting the higher the degree of fragmentation in the study area. In short, the landscape structure of the region has a certain complexity.3. Through the status of landscape pattern analysis of the reservoir area, and combined with the intrinsic landscape resources in the reservoir area characteristics, come to the countermeasures of optimization. From the matrix, patch, corridor and link with neighboring of the landscape optimized and optimized pre-and post-contrast analysis: the woodland area by optimizing the pre-optimized to 49.08% of 54.9% in the study area; cultivated land area by optimizing the pre-reduced to 40.42% of 34.6% after optimization. Show that the dominant of forest matrix of the reservoir area further enhanced, and the ecological environment in the reservoir area has been improved. The overall landscape patch density by optimizing the pre-17.4654 / km~2 optimized down to 16.6543 / km~2, while the average plaque area by optimizing the pre-5.7256hm~2 to the optimized 6.0044hm~2, this showed that after optimization of the phenomenon of fragmentation has been improved. At the same time, the overall landscape perimeter-area fractal dimension increased in a small way that the optimized shape of the landscape still has a higher plaque complexity and irregularity.Generally speaking, planning improved the relationship of area ratio between the plaque types, adjusted and optimized the use of land in the reservoir area from the overall, the landscape has improved the ecological environment in the reservoir area. The forest cover increased and the ecological functions of the forest landscape promoted further, at the same time the proportion of agricultural land area changed, this will be conducive to the rapid development of the agricultural economy, and conducive to the improvement of ecological environment in the reservoir area. Secondly, the planning controlled the landscape of construction sites is conducive to the protection of ecological environment and promoted the development of tourism in the reservoir area.
