The geographic spatial data integration is an important way to solve the problem of spatial information share in a distributed environment.The traditional researches of spatial data integration focus on the phrasing and pattern layers, which have shortage in the semantic information integration of the different geographic spatial data source and cause some difficulties in data share. In recent years, the ontology research has already got the attention of international geographical science researchers.They apply the ontology to the realm of Geographic Information System (GIS), and set up geographic ontology to study the method of spatial data integration based on it, which will provide a new thinking for the share and usage of spatial data.The thesis analyzes the method and pattern of current spatial data integration and some progresses in domestic and international research of the spatial integration based on geographic ontology. From the view of geographic ontology, the thesis elaborates the basic concept of semantic net and ontology, including the representative definition, category, modeling cell language and the ontology formal language.The thesis chooses the OWL(Web Ontology Language)as the language of ontology establishment and description; After analyzing the spatial characteristic of geographic ontology, the paper discusses the method of setting up ontology in the geographic information realm.The thesis carries on analysis to the pattern of spatial data integration based on Geographic ontology on the theory level, and adopts a hybrid integration frame from the local Geographic ontology toward the global geographic ontology, then takes road data as an example to study the spatial data integration. On the foundation of the semantic mapping relation between the source ontology concept and target ontology (the local geographic ontology and global geographic ontology) concept, it is emphasized that the thinking of road classification ontology integration is based on the object characteristic in the geographic ontology integration of this kind of the integrated frame.After making use of the Jena development kit, the thesis establishes the experiment prototype of spatial data query and reasoning based on geographic ontology on the practical level and make fundamental research on the following key techniques: making use of Jena API function to parse the geographic ontology, studying conversion of the query formula and how to use the DIG interface to realize connection between Jena and exterior reasoning machine etc.
