As computer technology develops unceasingly and is widely applied in practical work, ideas and methods of processing mine hydrogeology information are also updated and improved continuously. Based on geographical information system and charicteristics of mine hydrogeology management work, this paper firstly illustrates the design idea and implementation method of mine hydrogeology management information, and researches and develops mine hydrogeology information management system based on VB and the MapObjects taking a technical system built by module type geographic information system software—MapObjects and object-oriented visualization programming tool—Visual Basic 6.0 as the foundation in view of the mine hydrogeology’s actual situation. This system is composed of four subsystems, including mine files and documents management, mine hydrogeological data information management, mine geology drawings management and mine water inflow estimation, mainly realizes the management of mine files and documents; the input, edition, store, management, inquiry, analysis and output of mine hydrogeological data information; the input, edition, store, real-time inquiry, analysis and output of mine hydrogeological drawings; through analyzed geological and hydrogeology conditions of coal mine, we established high-precision ANN mine water inflow prediction model, it can convenience and quickly prediction mine water inflow, to provide a basis for practical production and decision-making.The establishment and application of mine hydrogeology information management system base on VB and the MapObjects realizes the visualization of mine hydrogeology information management, shows the superiority in scientific management, and plays a certain instruction role for mine hydrogeology work. At last, this system has been proper operated in the Pingdingshan 11th coal mine for more than six months.
